Maundy Thursday April 6, 7:00 PM Service of Holy Communion
Maundy Thursday, Maundy from the Latin Mandatum, meaning commandment. Jesus said, I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another’ (John 13: 34-35).
This night is a time to remember Jesus’ vision of beloved community—to feed and be fed, to love and be loved. This night, we remember the events of Jesus’ last night with his disciples.
