After growing up in the Montreal area and studying Business Administration at John Abbott College (C.E.G.E.P.), Helena attended Redeemer University and obtained a Combined Honours BA in Psychology and Business. Helena is married to Michael Bootsma, who currently serves as pastor at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church in Hamilton. For over 25 years, Helena and Michael enjoyed living in small Ontario towns. They have 4 adult children, 2 daughter-in-laws, 1 grandson, and 5 grand-puppies! Helena’s experience includes working as a Resource Centre Coordinator for Community Partners for Success, a non-profit in Quinte West/Belleville, Ontario. As a minister’s wife for over 30 years, Helena loves people, enjoys churches who share God’s love to all, and hopes to be a blessing.
